Subject: [Avodah] RE;eat human flesh or pig meat
"Looking for a write up of the classic question of whether one should eat
human flesh or pig meat in a pikuach nefesh situation, in particular the
supposed positions of R Amital and R Lichtenstein,
KT
Joel Rich"
Seems to me that in such a dire situation, both are permitted, so one should eat
both. And hopefully survive to write a book(s) on it. And be able to answer
multiple questions.

Subject: Re: [Avodah] "updated" version of a story
.
Of course, I fully support what R' Micha Berger and R' Harry Maryles wrote
about this story. I only want to suggest that while this may appear to be a
problem per se, it is more accurately a *symptom* of a problem.
For more information on the actual problem itself, I refer everyone to R.
Dr. Soloveitchik's famous "Rupture and Reconstruction", available online at
https://www.bjpa.org/content/upload/bjpa/rupt/RuptureAndReconstruction.pdf
(Even better, search for it online, and benefit from the many responses and
comments about it.)

Subject: [Avodah] minhag hapashut
The Aruch HaShulchan uses the phrase 201 times in the AHS. In only one of
those cases (allowing bells on a Sefer Torah on Shabbat -O?C 338:3) does he
add b?chol ha?olam. Any ideas?

Subject: [Avodah] If there is a siren
What would your answer be to the last question in the thread below? Does
Dina Dmalchuta play a role (given the debate as to which areas of halacha
it applies to)? Would the evaluation be based on the public perception of
risk, your personal risk tolerance, statistical probabilities or something
else7?
Q.If there is a siren, and entering the only available protected space
would involve yichud, should one enter or not?
A.If it pikuach nefesh, you should go in.
Q. How do you know if it?s ????? ??? or not?
