		<description>Thanks for providing a link to your translation of the introduction to Shaarei Yosher.  I had heard of R&#039; Shkop, but he was just another rabbinic name to me - I knew nothing about him.  This hakdamah blew me away.  

Maybe I just haven&#039;t been hanging around the right people, but I have never, ever come across anyone in the yeshivishe world say anything like the passage from the introduction that you quote in your post.</description>
